Skilling helps you make and run exercise-heavy flipped skill courses. However, before you make a course, you have to design it. You have to set goals (usually tasks you want students to learn how to do), decide on schemas, list lessons, and so on. How do you do that?
That’s what the skill course design model (SCDM) is for. It’s an approach to, er, designing skill courses, based on learning research.
SCDM and Skilling go hand-in-hand. SCDM identifies what student experiences make for effective and efficient skill learning. Skilling helps you create those experiences.
SCDM has several parts to it:
